WASHINGTON (WUSA9) — The U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts released a criminal complaint against 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev on Monday.
The document states that one of the two Tsarnaev brothers admitted to the Boston Marathon bombings when they carjacked a man at gunpoint near midnight on Thursday April 18 in Cambridge, Mass.
“Did you hear about the Boston explosion?…I did that,” one of the suspects allegedly told the victim when he entered the car.
According to the complaint, the suspect then removed a magazine from his gun and showed the victim that there was a bullet in it.
“I am serious,” he said as he re-inserted the magazine into the gun, the complaint states.
When the second man was picked up, the two suspects took $45 dollars from the victim and his ATM card with PIN.
The victim was eventually able to escape when the two suspects went into a gas station/convenience store.
on Monday, 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was charged with one count of using and conspiring to use a weapon of mass destruction and one count of malicious destruction of property using an explosive device resulting in death.
The 19-year-old is still in serious condition, with “apparent gunshot wounds to the head, neck, legs and hand,” the complaint stated.
