Tuneup and Repair software

This is based on your needs, do you use only one network (like Gtalk or Live(MSN) or Facebook) or you use multiple network in same time? If you use one network, you may use official messenger of that network, but if you too, like me, use multiple network (Google, Live, Facebook, AOL, ICQ, Yahoo, MySpace etc), I suggest you to use (In order):

Email Client

No matter what email service you currently use, Hotmail, AOL, Yahoo, Gmail or one from your ISP, you can connect them all together into Gmail and send and receive all your mails together inside most secure, stable and fast email client!
Gmail is the best mail service around with many unique features, I recommend try to connect all your mails to Gmail and see how great it works, soon I will write the manual for how to do that, so my recommendation in order is:

RSS / News Reader

Do you follow some blogs? or news from your favorite news station? Do you track updates notification of a software or even do you follow new posts/topics of a forum? best way to don’t miss any of them is to subscribe to their news feeds, even most powerful software in your computer will miss receive new feeds if you don’t get online a while so you should use a service that is always online and that’s Feedly, add all your RSS feeds into Feedly and it will collect them here in the groups/folders you set in your Feedly account, I cannot live without Feedly!:

Contact/Phone Book

Photo Editor

Photo Management

Office Software

I’m a ‘cloud’ fan and I like everything in web browser, because cloud applications and files are always accessible from every internet connected device (so you can work from your office or home or even finish your work on the way from home to work!), always updated and also works even in low-end computer. so I recommend you to use Google Doc for your office needs, it is compatible with Microsoft Office Formats, OpenOffice Formats and many more, another Google point is that Google Doc is very safe and you never have worry to get infected by open a document inside Google Doc (unlike Microsoft Office), Google doc support:

So I recommend you to use:

Archive Software (Create and Extract compressed archives)

Disc (CD/DVD/BluRay) creating and burning

Plugins and Frameworks

PDF Reader

Google Chrome comes with ability to open PDF Documents too, also Google Document is capable of open PDF files. So you can use either of them to read your PDF files.
